LOVE IS NOT EASILY ANGERED
Anger is first mentioned in Genesis 27.45. Anger does not result into rejoicing or celebration. Esau had just been conned off his birth right and blessings by his brother, Jacob. Esau was smouldering with a vengeful and his heart was pulsating with anger an rage.
Anger is defined as extreme displeasure. Some people when angry they go into rage, others simply keep quiet. There are those who mumble, unprintable words, where as some like Esau come spitting venom and ready to pounce. Anger in itself does not minister the presence of God. As far as love is concerned, they are like the son and mother in-law. It is impossible to overcome anger in the natural and using natural means. the natural methods commonly used have only been smothering fires. Rebekkah tried it and almost succeeded. Her suggestion to run away was only postponing the problem. In Genesis 31:1, Jacob flees from Laban as a result of anger that has been building out of the frustration encountered from his uncle, Laban.
Proverbs 16:32 "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city". The moment you embrace love their are things that will not resonate with you such as being provoked by simple things. Taking offense when others when others excel better than you. While walking in love you heed the words of Solomon in Proverbs 22:24 "Do not be friend with a hot tempted man do not associate with one easily angered". Bad company corrupts good morals, 1 Corinthians 15:33. Cut off the umbilical cord and be separate. Accept to die in Christ and resurection in the new body that embraces love as its prime root. Choice words are like jewels, they are like cold water to a thirsty throat, James 1:19. Thus choose words wisely and be slow to speak. Think through them first before speaking for it is difficult to swallow them once spoken.Remember you are love. Cherish the existence of peace and tranquility. This is the opposite of an angry man, Proverbs 29:22 "He stirs up dissention". On the contrary, love gathers and makes amends and seeks peace and unity at all costs.
God has gathered us in the bosom of the Lord Jesus Christ just as mother hen gathers up her chicks under her feathers whenever she sites the hawk. Under the Lord's tutelage, we are to inculcate love and all the principles so that finally we should be able to soar on high like eagles. To soar high, all chicken behaviors such as and including anger have to be deleted from our memory and discarded from the recycle bin.The only lee way we have, "Be angry but let not this lead you into sin". How difficult this is to practice and live but beloved as the salt and light of the world there are no two ways about it. Beloved better know from today that the world is using you as the standard to Christian living. This thing that we are human should be buried where it belongs. That is why Jesus said, "Narrow is the way that leads to life and very few follow it" Middle ground in salvation DOES NOT EXIST. You have to purpose to live life worthy the calling that you have received. It is a holy calling.The best thing you can do and will have to do is to MASTER YOUR ANGER before it messes you. It is also prudent to remember that anger is not part of love. Learn from Jesus, many people sacarstically called him the carpenter's son, but he never took any offence. He took it in good stride and used this to reach out to many. You have love as a precious tool, use it to touch lives.
Divorce anger from your life. Learn from the example of Jesus, that though spiked and insulted never argured or even answered back. Defeat anger in Jesus' name! Believe it, Act it and Live it, AMEN!
