SEE YOUR STORY IS ABOUT TO CHANGE

WHO IS TELLING YOUR STORY AND DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?

I am a forgiven sinner
A failure whom Jesus rescued from the chains of death by sin
Redeemed by the gracious blood of Jesus Christ
I am a product of forgiveness
I was a no body until Jesus welcomed me to his kingdom
And made me an heir of this kingdom
Principles of Kings
Here Are the Characteristics of a King... Part 1
1.  A king is never voted into power.
His power is inherent from birth.

2.  A king is king by birthright.
His kingship is not conferred by men.  We do not make him king, all we can do is acknowledge that he is king.

3.  A king cannot be voted out of power.
He was king before this world began, and he will still be king after it has passed away.

4.  A king's authority is absolute.
When the king speaks, he speaks with absolute authority.

5.  A king's word is law.
No one can countermand his orders, negate his pronouncements, set aside his decrees, or amend his          statutes.

6.  A king personally owns everything in his domain.
A kingdom is the only form of government where the ruler owns everything and everyone.

7.  A king's decree is unchanging.

Matthew 24:35.. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my WORDS will by no means pass away.

Here is something to meditate on:

Psalm 19:7-11  (7) The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; (8) The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; (9) The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.  (10) More to be desired are they than gold, yea than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.  (11)  Moreover by them your servant is warned, and in keeping them, there is great reward.

Revelation 11:15   The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.

Here Are the Characteristics of a King ... Part 2
8.  A king chooses who will be a citizen
The people do not vote for the king, but in essence, he votes for            them.

9.  A king embodies the government of his kingdom.
The Kingdom of Heaven is here because the king of Heaven is in the      hearts and lives of His citizens.

10.  A king's presence is the presence of his authority.
When the king shows up, his full authority is present.  Kingdom citizens may always exercise kingly            authority because the king is always present with them.

11.  A king's wealth is measured by his property.
The King of Heaven owns everything, everywhere, in both the natural and supernatural realms.

12.  A king's prosperity is measured by the status of his citizens.
A citizen of the kingdom of Heaven automatically prospers because the king of Heaven is the                wealthiest of all.

13.  A king's name is the essence of his authority.
Jesus the King has delegated His authority to His citizens.  He promised to do anything that they              asked in His name.

14.  A king's citizenry represent his glory.
Kingdom citizens are to reflect the character of their king, who is righteous, just, benevolent,                     compassionate and full of glory.

Kingdom citizens are to reflect the nature and character of their king, who is righteous.

•It yields fruit in all seasons

Judges 6:1 and following

People who know you today will struggle to identify you tomorrow:
Gideon is our first point of reference
Judges 6:12-14
The first thing that Gideon did was to check himself to understand who was being addressed in this case
Gideon when told to stand out for his tribe Israel asked God:-
-if the lord is with us why this condition of annihilation
-but God calls him a man of valor for he views you as he created you to be and not as you take yourself.
God may not use the methods you are used
Tired of your situation?
God is ready is ready to wait for you and turn it for your good vs. 18

Let’s look at Elisha
His call is recorded in the book of 1 Kings 19.19-21
His call was divinely prescribed by Jehovah not even Elijah himself or the group of 50 prophets could do anything about it. 1Kings19:15-18
2 Kings 2:1-21
People close to you will scare you that soon you will be a no body because of what is about to happen.
But not until they know that the Lord is my God.
Yes Elijah is gone and I have no man to look up to except the living God, Who is from everlasting to everlasting
The story becomes better when they had crossed the Jordan
Elishah, the despised one vs. 8 does the trick
Vs. 9 Elijah to Elisha “Tell me what you want”
Vs. 9 Elisha replies, “Let me inherit a double portion of your Spirit”
Elijah replies “The thing you have asked is very difficult”
There are things you have asked the lord but for them to come through for you then, you have to keep vigil”

Vs.12 Elijah made sure he was alert until he saw Elijah taken up by the chariot of fire
And when Elijah dropped his cloak, Elisha picked it
This is where the story becomes sweeter
For it is here that Elisha’s story begins to be written
Vs. 14 Elisha activated his faith to prove his critics wrong
Vs. 15 He never allowed men to write his story
He knew that change had already taken place and it was for all and sundry to open their eyes and see what the lord had done for his servant.

Vs. 19-22 Wholesome to this day according to the word of Elisha
The says you shall decree a thing and it shall come to pass, Job 22:28
Vs. 23 People will ridicule you, but do not focus on him
Focus on He who called you and has your promise heavenward.

As your story unfolds and the people notice change:-
*Not everybody will celebrate you
*Others will jeer you
*You will be called names, kafupi au kipara
*One thing they do not know the power that is at work in you, Ephesians 3.20

2 Kings 3.11
Is there no prophet in this land to inquire from? This is a question that was asked by King Jehoshaphat.
Just listen the way he introduces Elisha
Try such an introduction and you will face the wrath of men who cherish titles that come before their names. If not careful, you can end up being ex-communicated as some have suffered this way.
You will face the same, but don’t fret.Being looked down upon is part of the price you pay for prophesing Christ. These are the symbolic fruit of being an heir to the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
You never wrote your story, the Lord Jesus did it.
Vs. 12 Amazing he asked him an answer

What do you stand for? vs. 14
Just imagine because of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah an answer is provided.
When was the last time you stood out to be accountable to Christ?
Beloved, things will happen when in the presence of others but only in respect to  and honor of who dwells in you 2 Kings 3:14
Vs. 17-19
Role and effect of the harpist

To heal the wounded soul

One of the unfailing time-stopping musical experiences is heard at # 32, toward the end of the first act of Handel’s oratorio, Saul. It’s identified simply as “Air: Oh Lord whose mercies numberless.” The first time I heard this piece was on the radio, many years ago. It was a five-minute item squeezed in between a movement from a Mozart concerto and a Beethoven piano sonata. I remember I had to remind myself to keep breathing. The combination of the voice, the harp, and the orchestra captured something that was both troubling and inexplicably soothing. I knew then this was piece of music to investigate. I know now that Handel was depicting musically the consequences of King Saul’s extreme distress. Having fought to “save” the Kingdom of Israel, Saul finds himself rejected, vengeful, and prone to extreme acts of violence. Then his son’s beloved friend David - another source of the king's difficulties - comes along with his harp and sings:

Oh Lord whose mercies numberless
O’er all thy works prevail:
Though daily Man thy law transgress.
Thy Patience cannot fail.
If yet his sin be not too great,
The busy Fiend control;
Yet longer for repentance wait,
And heal his wounded Soul.

A wounded soul indeed. Depending on the biblical translation Saul was in anguish because:

Now the spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him.
(NRSV)

Now the spirit of the Lord had left Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord filled him with terror.
(Catholic Truth Society Bible/New Jerusalem Bible)

Or the somewhat more pastoral focused:

The spirit of the Lord had forsaken Saul, and at times an evil spirit from the Lord would seize him suddenly.
(New English Bible)

The Jesuit biblical scholar, John L. McKenzie, characterizes Saul’s condition this way.

The character of Saul is complex and tragic. Historians generally agree that he suffered from mental derangement. This was the ‘evil spirit’ from Yahweh which troubled him and it makes more intelligible his pathological hatred of David, his murderous assaults on David and the priests… his neglect of duty while he engaged in the vain pursuit of his adversary, the alienation of even his children from him.

The marvel you are about to encounter is enormous.
Mine is to prepare you to sit back and see what Jesus is doing for you.
When the harp was played, the spirit of the lord moved in and took over, Vs. 16
+See no rain yet the valley will be full of water. I decare the same isgoing to happen for you
+Your animals will drink
+Moab (enemies) will be handed over to you
+You will overthrow every fortified city and major town.
Obstacles, rejection, fear and anxiety will be thrown your way but do not loose hope.

When all these things happen
You will experience the awesomeness of Jehovah.
God will cause terrible freight and fear to your enemy 2Kings 3:21
They will look at you and think they like, this is scaring now what do we do?
Do you know there are guys who just get uncomfortable with your presence?
Your blessing is quite a threat to many. But that is no license to fill yourself with pride and its cohorts, for this is what is in the world, 1 John3:16
You are like the following with the big God you serve.
Joseph left home a slave condemned by the brothers but later on realized God intended all good for him, Genesis 50:20
David left home a shepherd boy and a harpist for King Saul but God lifted him to the position of the man after his own heart.
Saul was busy hunting down Christians to imprison only for God to set him aside for his great mission work, Acts 9: 1 and following.
Beloved do not consider your current situation.
Are you in a position where your axe has sank in the sea, 2 Kings 6:5?
You only need a word from the prophet of God and you will be totally sorted out.
This is not your definition
Rather child of God this is your revelation.
Elisha went on the other side of the river Jordan a servant of Elijah a man full of jeers,
But wait until he crossed back and the awesomeness of Yahweh was evident upon him
Your story has just begun
And you better get ready to believe it
For the writer is no finger of man
But the great I AM.
BE CAREFUL WHEN THEY ASK WHAT HAPPENED TO POINT THEM TO THE SAVING GRACE OF GOD

2 Kings 4
The widow’s oil, vs. 1-7
The Shunammite’s son restored
Death in the pot vs. 38-41
Naaman’s encounter with the man of GOD, Elisha, the cleansing in the dirty Jordan River, 2 Kings 5
Are you expecting the amn of God to perfom some jigs in the name of miracles.?
From the anointed man of God ONLY expect the RHEMA word. You may not even see him, but the most important thing is, He speaks into your life.
My friend who is it that is speaking into your life?
Is he releasing life or just perfoming drama and doing gymnastics?
You better know for by their fruits, you shall know them. Only a tree planted by the streams of water produces fruit in and out of season and its leaves are never dry!
Such things are only experienced in the presence of the great King.

PAUL
Acts 9:1-
Initially God called Saul of Tarsus
A man breathing fire
He was energetic, outgoing, zealous and full of steam to serve his master the, the Devil
Sort license to go to Jerusalem, take Christians captive and throw them into prison.

J.A.F.N
Acts 9:13
People know your past and if not carefully will tie you to the past so that you cannot make in-roads or free yourself from it.
They can tell your past better than yourself. I call it the spirit of intimidation and limitation. With them you can never see beyond your horizon.
But you know what? God is about to re-write your story afresh
Their silence will come when God the master artist testifies on my behalf, vs. Acts 9:15

Vs. 18
You will see again (Enlightened)
Was baptized (The old died, the new is come and come really quickly)
Broke the fast and empowered for ministry.

People will love to identify you with yesterday but hey
Better know this is the day the day the Lord has made, Vs 21
I am flowing in grace and newness of his mercies today
Yesterday is gone

Do not allow anyone to pull you down using the figure of what you were yesterday.
Prove them wrong in love, in deeds and in your lifestyle
May they experience the change that the lord has achieved in your life
You are a child of favor, live like favor.

May they see Christ in you the hope of glory.
Ensure they start reading your new story line but do not boast about it
Do it in and with humility
Make known to them that this is not by power nor by might but by the spirit of God.
Let them know who is penning your story and assure them that he who begun this good work in you will bring it to fulfillment in the day of Christ Jesus
I love this!
The more they called Saul names, Acts 9:22:-
1.    Saul grew more and more powerful
2.    Surprised the Jews by proving that Jesus is the Christ

This same example shall be the revelation on your new story
Your growth is not limited to what you were yesterday.
Regardless of that stand
Take note that now I am a new creation
I am brand new!
Halleluiah to Jesus!
The old is gone and the new is come
I am a child of the kingdom
An heir and co-heir to the kingdom of my heavenly father!

If they insist on not accepting your testimony
Allow God to fight the battle for you for is not yours but the lord’s, Acts 9:26-27
Friend allow me to speak into your life in Jesus’ name

Like the church of Judea, Galilee and Samaria you are about to
Enjoy time of peace (Jesus is our peace)
You will be strengthened and Encouraged by the Holy Spirit
This is not fiction but the truth

BELIEVE IT, ACT IT and LIVE IT!!

Hallelujah!
