HE IS RISEN!!
MATHEW 28.1-20
KEY VERSE 20
Christ has risen from
the dead: - there is no fact more important than that.
Because Christ rose
from the dead we are saved and can be saved. Halleluyah!
That is the message
of the gospel and we are called to share with the lord.
The price tag of
Jesus’ sale as per disciple Judas was simply 30 pence of silver.
The price value not
with standing the value of life, Judas TOOK it and POCKETED
IT!
THIS SAME Judas had
seen Jesus perform quite a number of profound miracles.
-he had lived with Jesus
-seen the miracles of Jesus
-but his heart had a different
ruler. I.e. money
-rather money took over him and
ruled if not controlled him.
-and when he came back to his
senses, died a very miserable death.
Je wewe?
What are you ready to
die for?
Is the thing you are
holding on worth dying for?
Then there was
another disciple called Peter [the rock]
But sometimes I
wonder whether a rock can simply be broken down with a damsel.
-Peter tried to prevent Jesus from
facing death
-fought using his flesh to
demonstrate his zeal for God, to no avail.
-cowed by just a young girl
-as a result he denied Jesus not one
time, or two times but three times he
Denied Jesus whom he had called him to walk
over water, served 3 & ½ yrs
-but later he confessed Jesus as
lord and saviour and finally died a martyr.
What about you?
What is your price tag
in life?
A lavish wedding reviling
prince William of Wales?
A gorgeous marriage,
big car and a mansion for a house or home?
Jesus’ price tag for
me and you was quite outstanding
-40 lashes of cane
-a crown of thorns for the head
-very heavy cross as if he were a
beast of burden
-nails in his hands and feet
-body weight hanging over the lifted
cross
-yet he was scorned beaten and spitted
on, but said nothing, only forgive
them for they know not what they are doing!
This man Jesus was
only but atoning for my sins
But the big question
is
What is it that you
and I are valuing today?
Jesus valued me more
than he valued himself
He loved me more than
he loved himself
Eventually died in my
stead
That is quite mind
boggling.
What a love!
And the good news is
that HE
IS RISEN
For the righteousness
that Jesus was could not allow the earth continue holding onto him.
+death could not hold him
underground
+the grave had no power
to do that
He had aptly
predicted this in john chapter2. that he
would destroy the Jewish temple built for 46 years and built it in 3 days!
My lord is risen
In fact his risen was
a great relief to the spirits down there.
They had known no
peace for the 3 days he was there.
That is what I have
come to declare to you also.
-death has no power over me
-I am victorious whatever the devils
propaganda
-the storms, challenges, the
mountains and even the valleys will come my way
BUT thanks be to God
HE IS RISEN!
There is no triumph without travail
For uplifting comes
only after downgrading
There can only be a
high tower after a deep down foundation has been done.
This is where my
Jesus comes in.
He is not in the grave
any longer beloved he is risen!
And I also
I am risen with him
through baptism
Though I may appear
weak and vulnerable, within, I am re-newed, and transformed in my mind.
I am a replica of my
lord
I am redeemed by the
blood of Jesus!
Power flows within me
Grace and favor are
on my right hand
Power, authority and
glory on my side!
I am blessed for I
sit meditate and fellowship with my lord Jesus Christ
I am loved!
Je wewe?
Realize this; he is
not in the tomb
Don’t go looking for
him among the dead.
Jesus is alive!
Glory to God!
Recognize it today
Believe it now
He is not dead Jesus
is risen!
Halleluya to the Lamb
of God
The only perfect
sacrifice for men!
AND NOW MAY GOD ADD
MORE BLESSING TO HIS WORD
AMEN!!
