THE WEDDING

Mathew 25; 1-13
Living as God wants you to
This is easier said than done
But that is how it is
Being yourself and real about it
No pretence
God uses people and circumstances to get out the best of us!
God is fashioning me to be the person that he wants me to be.
Welding me, cutting loose branches, panel beating me that I might not conform to the allure of the world, rather be renewed by the transformation of my mind.
Marriage defined
-of marriage
-so devoted to opinion, occupation as to be unable to abandon it
5 of these virgins prepare themselves, their lamp as well as carrying extra oil in ay case the bride comes late.
Lamps signify salvation i.e. Life and testimony, describing the attitude of your heart fixed on Jesus.
To maintain this contact, carried oil in lamps and some extra.
Oil stands for the Holy Spirit, pray all the time and also pray in the Holy Ghost, 1Thesalonians 5.17 ‘pray without ceasing’.
1Corinthians 14.15 ‘what is it the? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also’.
These virgins were well equipped
They knew this was their marriage day,
A day to encounter Jesus and come out Jesus like, so they put their best foot forward
I am the lord’s virgin-Luke 12.36 ‘And you yourselves like men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he comes and knocks, they may open the door to him immediately’.
Brides waiting for their grooms (Jesus) keep themselves pure, that I may have a husband called Jesus.
Therefore I beat my body every day to be conformed to the likeness of my savior
-Strive to keep myself chaste
-away from defiling things and people
-walk in the light and with the light
-be in the company that testifies of the light.
-no worry to be ambushed
-avoid dark alleys-changanya changanya.
Mathew 22.8 ‘then saith he of his servant, the wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy’
Though invited to the invited to the wedding of the lamb
You don’t just come the way you think
Hapa si sokoni
Come clad as required, purity, holiness, righteousness, with faith, truth, forgiveness and above all the garment of praise is the requirement.
This is the fruit of our lips, a sacrifice of praise
Hallelujah to the king of glory!
How do your garments look like?
The heart, the soul, mind and your mouth
What of your body?
Are they kept holy for the usage by Jehovah?
Is the body kept away from the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life? Are you a testimony or a discouragement?
The groom is coming to select he bride
Are you sure to pass the test?
Garments of praise are very important
It is good to be saved just to much the fashion or reach out to requirements of getting favors or blessings, a husband or just to feel good I am saved
You have to be ready to LIVE the life that resonates with holiness and be seen to be living a changed life
Look at these results, aren’t they scarring? Mathew 22.12-13
LIVE RIGHT, LIVE RIGHT!
There are no two ways about it
But to live right!
by the way we are living in times that you need not be distracted by those who live as they wish.
Do not live as if you are here permanently.
Recognize you are a pilgrim and a sojourner with limited time to achieve heaven’s purposes.
Live right, live a holy life!
GLORY BE TO BE NAME OF JESUS BOTH NOW AND FOR EVER MORE
AMEN!
