I GIVE YOU POWER TO TREAD OVER SERPENTS, SCORPIONS, AND SNAKES AND OVER THE POWERS OF THE ENEMY AND NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU.

THE POWER OF SPIRITUAL DOMINION

Ability, strength or force that is divinely supernatural and is meant to reign or take control

It is important to know a brief history of Demons

Originally they were angels of God and not the spirits of a pre-Adamic race that have come to torment us.

They are essentially angels that formed a conspiracy to be equal with God.

They were angels of the same kind as any of the Holy angels but BITTERNESS, ENVY, SELFISH AMBITION was found in them. Isaiah 14.12-17.

Lucifer is the author of iniquity & organizer of sin

To overcome him, you must put on the helmet of salvation.

This can only be achieved by:-

1.       You are a spiritual being who is known both ways

2.       You were born to overcome. Romans 3.21

2o million sperms were racing to manufacture you,

The one that won is who you are. You won while in the liquid state and this demonstrates as to why you should live as an over comer.

3.       You were created to be an over comer. 1 John 5.1-5

4.       You must be what you were meant to be. No compromises or excuses, Jeremiah 1.4

5.       You must choose to practice spiritual dominion. Daniel 6.11-13, Jesus, storms, casting out demons, Luke4.35-41

‘These things I have spoken to you that in me you might have peace. In the world you will have many tribulations; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Jesus declaring His dominion, authority, ability and competency!

Because Jesus has overcome, it does not matter what it takes but what I know from His word I am also an over comer.

As you do so remember

Hebrews 12.4 ‘You have not suffered to the point of shedding blood, striving against sin’.

Exercise the word which is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword

6.       Demonstrate your spiritual dominion.

2Timothy 1.7 ‘For God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind’.

7.       Know your position and be ready to be challenged. Stop being micro -managed by the pastor

THE DOMAIN OF DEMONS

Revelation 12.9-11

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And behold a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and power of His Christ; for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the power of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death’.

Ephesians 2.2

Luke 4.5,6

Satan only has authority where man is and where man can give it unto him.

His domain is in two places:-

-          The Atmosphere [living creatures as well as destructive atmospheric conditions, or earthly calamities {floods, volcanic activities}

-          The Earth {Human beings}

-          It also includes the kingdom of this world

-          The world systems {democracy etc.}

-          The present age John 12.31, 2Corinthians 4.4

How Demons wage war against Christians and the church

1.   Personal combat

•Ephesians 6.12

•Direct warfare with the devil

•Consist of spirit of varying ranks

•Every believer has personal struggles to face and is equipped to win. Ephesians 6.10

2.       Personal Accusation

Romans 12.10, Acts 5.3, Deceiver, tempter

1Corintians 7.7 Tempts using illicit sex especially where sex is used as bait in ‘failed marriages’

Mathew 16.23 Tempt to be occupied with the things of men instead of God.

1Timothy 3.6. Tempt through pride in spiritual matters and use of dogmatic language. Allow no new convert to take up church leadership

1 Peter 5.7-8 Tempt us into over concern & discouragements to make us fail

3.       Personal persecution

Revelation 2.10, Incite persecution, thus be faithful until death

4.       Paralyze using fleshly sin

Ephesian 4.27, Demos use fleshly sin s by coming alongside them and reinforcing them.

A work of the flesh indulged opens the opportunity for demon activity in the believer’s life.

HOW TO EXERCISE POWER OF SPIRITUAL DOMINION

As priests together with Jesus our key function is Prayer

Prayer is important because:-

1.       It changes circumstances

2.       But the opposite is true.

God cannot work to change circumstances here on earth unless someone prays.

God gave dominion to Adam in Genesis 1.26-28.

When Adam sinned, he lost his dominion

When Adam sinned Satan usurped his authority and became the god of this age, 2Corinthians4.4.

The bible called Satan the ruler of this world, John 12.31

All the kingdoms of the world belonged to Satan, Luke 4.5-6

He is the reason for the suffering in this world not God.

But when Jesus went to the cross and broke the power of sin with his blood, He took back spiritual dominion on this earth from Satan.

The bible says that the ruler of this world has been judged and cast down, John 16.11, 12.31. Luke 10.18.

God raised Jesus and gave Him complete spiritual dominion in the heaven and on earth, Colossians 2.14,15, Ephesians 1.22, Philipians2.8-11.

Ephesians 1.20-21

Jesus has delegated authority on this earth to us the church, which is His body, Mathew 28.18-19, Luke 10.19.

Mathew 10.1 and Mark 16.17-18

Jesus is the King of kings and He has made us kings.

Jesus says that whatever we bind here on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever we loose here on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Heaven will back us

Heaven will stand with us

Heaven support us….

…when we enforce our spiritual authority, Mathew 18.18.

Right now it is your turn to turn on the screw on him

We are ascending the mountain to confront the enemy.

The enemy is under siege and mind you, he will defend himself.

He is not going to yield hands down

No, he is positioning himself for a fight

It is important that you have all on your self the amour of God, Ephesians 6.10.

How is going to achieve this:-

1.       Blocking of prayers-Daniel

2.       Intimidate you

3.       Fight back

4.       Scare off some

5.       Death-revelation John 16.1-4, Revelation12.11

But remember God has not given us the spirit of fear

To be victorious and live worth the destiny of God we must begin by;-

Recognizing our position in Christ, Psalm 91.1

There is a dwelling place in the spirit that we hold as believers. If you falter that space remains vacant and the closest occupant just next door is the devil.

Ephesians 1.18120

In this place we have God given power

And this power is not to be kept at home but exercised daily.

To utilize the power of spiritual dominion:-

1.       Know who you are in Christ

2.       Live a life of TOTAL obedience, John 15.10

3.       Act in co-operation with the Holy Ghost, John 15.26

4.       Confront temptations with the word, Mathew 4.4,7,10

5.       Use the name of Jesus, John 14.12-15

6.       Confess the power of His blood, the mention of the name of Jesus the devil shudders.

The power of spiritual dominion announces the kingdom of god, Luke 11.20

Mark 16.17

And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name they shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues

Your language has to be conspicuous.

Stop using the words and body language that the devil is used to.

Mwonyeshe we ni mtoto wa mfalme.

Yours is a higher authority.

Today take your rightful place and receive kingdom empowerment.

May Jehovah propel you to greater heights in the spirit in Jesus name!

Take dominion in the spirit in Jesus’ name!

Spiritual dominion has to be taken

It does not come on a silver platter

You have to travail in prayer and wait upon the lord.
